Mama... biscotthu

Rains in Mumbai come with the 3 hour traffic jams, wading in knee deep water, umbrellas going out of control, seepage in pudu veedu... but whatever it is, this is one season I really really look forward to.

Morning tea, mid-morning tea, pre lunch tea, post lunch tea, evening tea - have lost track on the cups of tea I have everyday enjoying the rains.

Here's my latest buy. Its a 2-in-1 cup. Tea also.Biscotthu also. Haiyya!

Have you tried the new Sunfeast Marie Light Oats biscuits? They are super yum and ideal for teatimes. Parle biscotthus are worsht.

Ok, I go to eat some pakkoda while you go back and read my last year's rain post.

oh yes, my favorite time of the year too.More so this year because of the long cruel summer.

2 in 1 cup looks cool

Only issue is that the space for the biscuits is very little. Not scalable for folks who grab fistfuls of biscuits directly from the packet

To Usha's comment - maybe Pakodas can be placed under the cup and biscuits still taken the old fashioned way (a bucketful of biscuits, will make the coffee go down, in a most delightful way)

Morning la Tea ah? I think Morning is a default Filter Coffee or its Poor Cousin Bru. And Biscothu with Coffee oda Masal vadai goes very well, or Vazhakka Bajji !

I think Chennai must Patent that design .. and make it like the Culture thing. Antha Vadapaav maathiri !

PS: Intha Cup with Biscoth la .. if you hold it with your left hand and drink wont the biscuit fall off ? Right handers ku mattum thaana ithu ? Handle ku just opposite la iruntha better ah irukkumo ?

Nice ! And agree with the oats biscuit - tastes great .

The railways had a similar cup with a holder for buscuits on the side and a lid too - we bought one at the museum at Chennai. Very cute !

Because of such design issues wonly we tamil invented veshti..

My dad still feels its better to put varutha kadala, murukku etc on a madichufied veshti..removes oil, remains invisible under the folding and a great multi-purpose wear!
