1. Srilekha Rajendran - Both pondatti and purushan are DD drama veterans. Srilekha's purushan is serial actor Rajendran, also a very popular dupping artiste who won the State award, a few years ago for the best dupping artiste. Srilekha played Delhi Ganesh' s wife in Sindhu Bhairavi and continues to wear the same azhukku sari in all her dramas... especially the DD ones.

2. Pollachi Babu - Plays villain in a lot of serials and has an irritating voice.

3. Priyadarshani - Ex-Sun TV, now a Kalaignar TV loyalist, she won Maanada Mayilada 2 along with a loser whose name I forget. She acted with Bhaakyaraj as a child artiste in Davani kanavugal and some Ramanarayan kinda film as a Nagapambu ponnu who puts her tongue out everytime she sees milk and egg. 5.Nithya - We call her velaikkari Nithya and the nickname owes its origin to her waanderful look in DD dramas. Has a perennial Velaikkennai expression. Does dubbing for English films dupped in Tamizh and for actors like Nalini in Kolangal.

6. Chandrabose - Once an aastana music composer for all AVM films, he disappeared suddenly only to make a super duper come back on Chinnathirai as an actor.

7. Yuvarani - Acted in a couple of films like Jaadi malli types. Became popular on 'Chitti' where she played the villi opposite Yakka Yakka Radhika.

8. Swarnamalya - Sorimalya was an anchor on Sun TV's Ilamai Pudumai. Got married, went to the US of A, came back , tried to do some B grade films... and now back on Chinnathirai in Bharathiraja's Terkathi ponnu.

9. Sudha Chandran - 'Mayuri' Sudha Chandran started this trend of vampish look - big pottu, jaga jagaa look in Hindi serials and has managed to successfully import the same look-u in Tamizh serials as well.

5. Preethi Srinivasan - Jodi No.1 season 2's winner with 'Master' Tinku.

6. Babloo a.k.a Prithviraj - Who doesn't know him? Who can forget his super duper dance and emoshaans in Jodi No.1 on Vijay TV that made the greatest of all actors, Simbu (Chinna karadi) cry? Remembered for his memorable role as an Aravani in Arasi. Once a popular villian in golt films.

7. Anu Hassan - A good host ONLY with her guests on Koffee with Anu. Comes across a rude, sarcastic compere on Jaya TV's 20-20 game show. Producer Chandrahassan's daughter, Charuhaasan-Kamalagaasan's niece - Sugasini's cousin,made her debut in Indra and does some anni-akka roles these days.

8. Brinda das - Ex-police officer Mohandas' daughter. Acts in Anandham where Mohanram addresses her as Sammandhi (Kali mutthi pochu!)

9. LIC Narasimhan - What comes to your mind when someone says 'LIC'? ... Insurance-a? - sorry ! then are you are not fit to attempt this quiz. 1.Dr.Sharmila - (not Shyamili, Sharmilee, Urmila etc) - of 'Pudhira Punidhama' fame

2. Devadarshini - (not Priyadarshini) She worked with actor Chetan in Marmadesam, fell in lauvvvv and got married.

3. Vishwa - (not Selvam) Worked with The Indian Express earlier and has worked / is working in a number of serials. Dubbed for 'Songi' Shaam in 12B. Fellow blogger describes him as the 'Surya of Chinnathirai'.

4. Shanmugasundaram - Almost everyone got his name right. One of the Mumoorthis of Doordarshan Tuesday dramas. For those asking who the other two moorthis are, please have a look at the grid for tele-vetti-3, pictures # 4 and # 9. Shanmugasundaram aspired in vain to become the next Sivaji-melodrama-ganesan. He is every mimickry artiste's delight. Younger brother of veteran actress Chandragantha;his brother Viji is a popular dupping artiste. His most memorable role - playing the over-the-top appa of kanaga in Karagattakkaran.

5. Vadivukkarasi - Made her debut in Sigappu Rojakkal as Kamal's secretary in yellow and pink dress speaking hep Englees and thus joined the Radhikas and Radhas of Kollywood - heroines introduced by Bharathiraaja and exploited to the maximum in his films . Vadivukkarasi acts as an azhuvacchi amma-villi maamiyar in most serials.

6. 'Kavithalayaa' Krishnan - Used to roam around in a TVS 50 in Mylapore(I think he still does) doing one kumbudu to Kavithalayaa office in the morning without fail. Has the great honour of having his name mentioned as 'Kalaimamani Kavithalayaa Krishnan' in Kuselan's credits - an honour that no one else in the film (not even stalwarts like Livingston, Thyagu, Vaiyyapuri) was bestowed upon! Wow! you are great KKK*!

7. Meenakumari - What KKK* is to Kavithayala, Meenakumari is to AVM. I see her in all AVM serials as an Anni with a minimum of five sisters-in-law.

8. Kaveri - earlier known as Angela , she made her debut with the dashing Prashanth in Vaigasi Porandachu. Best known as Dhanam in Metti Oli.

9. 'Typist' Gopu - Radio Mirchi, Madras once did a morning show on World Typewriters' day and guess who the special guest on-air was? 'Typist' Gopu!! We may have forgotten the good old typewriters and switched to PCs but can you forget this man and his name ?

Thanks to Tele-vetti 2, I discovered something new - Didn't know that my Delhi-born n' brought up Tam-Purushan had an immense knowledge of Tamizh serials. He was able to recognize Vishwa as Selvam and Dhanam of metti Oli and surprise surprise, Kavithalayaa krishnan as the man who used to act as a handicapped guy in 'Avargal' which was telecast five years ago on Sun! I am so proud of you, my dear best-aff.

Wow! I would like to thank each one of you who made tele-vetti 1 a big success. Special mention to my family - ammani , gayathri, guevera and kalthoon tilakji . Naama oru kalai-kudumbam-ngrada ulagukku prove pannitom. I would also like to thank Chinnathirai kalaignargal for their thought provoking acts in megaaaaaa serials.
